Community Impact

The world gets better when we invest in people. For over a decade, I’ve volunteered across humanitarian relief, youth education, mentorship, and community care. Whether it’s helping young creatives break into games, supporting wildfire relief in California, or reading to kids during a global pandemic, service is a constant in my life.

Mentorship & Games Advocacy

I volunteer with organizations that amplify underrepresented voices and build safer, more inclusive pathways into games. From speaking at global programs to mentoring one-on-one, I’m committed to making this industry more accessible and more human.

  • Take This – Accelerate Program (2025–2026)
Mentor for early-career professionals at the intersection of games and mental health.
  • BAFTA North America – Member (2025–Present)
Engaged in professional mentorship and cultural programming for the global games community.
  • Girls Make Games – Speaker & Judge (2025)
Guest speaker and Demo Day judge for a global summer program supporting young women in game dev.
  • Women in Games International – Ambassador (2022–Present)
Supporter of global equity initiatives for women and marginalized voices in interactive media.
  • IGDA – Mentor (2021–Present)
One-on-one mentorship for aspiring and mid-career game developers.

Education & Youth Work

I believe early access to creativity, confidence, and curiosity can change a kid’s life. I’ve supported young learners as a mentor, martial arts instructor, and curriculum consultant—especially in communities that deserve more resources and more representation.

  • 9 Dots – Curriculum Consultant (2024–2025)
Supported curriculum development for a nonprofit providing equitable STEM education to underserved youth.
  • Traveling Stories – Reading Mentor (2021–2023)
Volunteered weekly to read virtually with young students during the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Sunset Cliffs Aikido – Instructor (2014–2016)
Taught martial arts to children, focusing on confidence, discipline, and non-violent conflict resolution.
  • Aikido in Fredericksburg – Assistant Instructor (2011–2014)
Assisted in youth martial arts classes focused on health and personal growth.

Disaster Relief & Animal Welfare

Community care is personal to me. Whether supporting wildfire response, helping at vaccine sites, or volunteering with animal shelters, I believe in showing up where help is needed—and using my time to make a tangible difference.

  • American Red Cross – Disaster Relief Volunteer (2025)
Provided support and logistical aid during the Los Angeles wildfires.
  • UC San Diego Health – COVID-19 Vaccine Runner & Observer (2021)
Supported vaccination site operations during the peak of the pandemic.
  • LA Animal Services – Community Volunteer (2024–Present)
Support local shelters through fostering, community outreach, and pet adoption events.
  • Animal Care Zone – Foster (2024–Present)
